The Surrey Sharks travellers to Brixton with a depleted but highly spirited squad to Brixton for there first tournament of the season.
They played a round robin tournament which started with a tough game against Medway who asked if we minded if they fielded with one or two older players which we obliged. The Sharks did battle very hard and showed great character in defence and showed some real quality in attack. Unfortunately they succumbed to a last second try to narrowly lose by 1 point.
The Sharks then went on to show there experience with a heavy win over Brixton who they shut out and then went on to destroy a very inexperienced Croydon side. The second round was almost a repeat of the first round but some very tired Sharks found it hard to keep up the intensity in defenders. A great performance from the lads today with 2 excellent Debuts from Bill Thomas and Toby Hart. Quality one up Rugby from Nathan Rose and Joe Taylor who both bartered through defences today, real class and experience from Euan LeBrun and Rivern Rowthorne who somehow always manages to score from anywhere on the field.
Martin Brider, U11s Coach said: With no Subs Available I couldn't of asked any more from the boys and they have set the bar very high for the rest of the season.
Played 6 games with 4 Win and 2 Loss
